LWC Volunteers

LWC is fortunate to have a supportive community of Volunteers who offer time and talents to helping our students become a vibrant part of our community. All volunteers will have to undergo background checks to insure the safety of our students. We have 2 levels of Volunteers…

Senior Volunteers will have experienced time with our students and instruction from our staff and will assist in the teaching of the students and may be leaders in the work groups. They must be over 18 years of age. They may be teachers for subjects if they have special knowledge or skills or may accompany groups into the community along with staff to insure safety and fun. Some may volunteer business skills to help the facility operate, others may bring job skills that can be taught to our students.

Junior Volunteers may be any age! They will bring the community into the facility and may aid in instructing and caring for the students, but will always be in the company of facility staff when they are with the students.

This program will surely evolve to embrace the needs of our students and the talents of our Volunteers, so please bring your ideas and energy to help us make our volunteer program a highlight of LWC as it should be.
